'Shock as University Lecturer Commits Suicide by Shooting Himself in Chest

Mystery surrounds the death of a 46-year-old university lecturer, Galma Guyo Dida, who was found with a fatal gunshot wound at Mlima Shaba area in Marsabit County.

Preliminary findings indicate that he had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, with the bullet exiting through his back.

An AK-47 rifle loaded with 22 rounds of special ammunition, believed to have been used in the incident, was recovered near the body.

Police documented the scene as part of ongoing investigations. The body was later taken to the local mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to provide more details on the cause of death.
