Lloyd Masika Limited is one of Kenya’s most recognised real estate firms, with a strong presence in Nairobi’s property market.
The company’s branding is visible across major commercial buildings, malls, and residential estates, reflecting its dominant role in property valuation, management, and agency services in the country.
The firm was co-founded by Kenyan land economist David Masika and British chartered surveyor John Lloyd. Masika, born and raised in western Kenya, studied Land Economics at the University of Nairobi before beginning his career as a land valuer.
He quickly rose through the ranks in the industry, gaining experience that later helped shape his entrepreneurial journey.
In 1979, Masika and Lloyd partnered to establish Lloyd Masika Limited after working together at Tysons Habenga Limited.
Their combined expertise in valuation and estate management laid the foundation for a company that would grow into one of Kenya’s leading real estate service providers.
Beyond business, David Masika has held several influential positions in both public and private sectors, including leadership roles in major state corporations and financial institutions.
John Lloyd, on the other hand, built his reputation as a seasoned surveyor and continues to contribute as a consultant.
Today, Lloyd Masika manages a vast portfolio that includes commercial properties such as Sarit Centre, Teleposta Towers, and Barclays Plaza, as well as numerous residential developments across Kenya.
