In her mind she took it as a joke, thinking that her husband wanted to know whether she really loved him. She would innocently say that she would not want that to happen, not knowing that her husband was actually in a relationship with a sugar mummy who was financing his lavish lifestyle.
She met her husband while she was working as a househelp in Nairobi. When she realized she was pregnant, they moved in together. He was good at first until she delivered their first child.
He stopped providing food in the house, and whenever she could question him, she could receive some beatings. This went on for a while, and later he started going out on Friday and returning back on Monday morning while drunk.
She serviced through the help of her friends and mom. According to her, her husband would buy designer clothes every weekend and fail to buy food for them.
Despite all the mistreatments, she could tell him not to get into a relationship with a sugar mummy whenever he could ask her if she would be okay.
When she decided to walk away after an argument the neighbours told her that her husband moved in with an old lady who was living in the neighbourhood.
