"Ruto, PS Korir Are Grabbing Lands in Kiambu," Gachagua Alleges, Warns Investors of Ruto's Plan

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has alleged rising cases of disputed private land acquisitions in Kiambu County linked to President William Ruto and Nixon Korir. He says the situation has created tension over ownership of key parcels across the region.

Weeks after making the remarks, he warned private investors to avoid buying the contested land as legal questions continue to emerge across affected areas. He insisted that caution is necessary until disputes are fully resolved by relevant authorities.

He said the situation has created uncertainty among residents and investors, especially in peri-urban zones where land transactions are increasingly becoming politically sensitive. He added that unclear documentation processes have worsened confidence in some local markets.

He further claimed that administrative officials have not acted decisively, leading to disputes that continue to escalate in several parts of Kiambu. According to him, stronger enforcement is needed to prevent overlapping claims and irregular allocations.

Gachagua emphasized that the alleged land issues risk undermining investor confidence and could destabilize property ownership systems if not urgently addressed properly. He argued that unresolved disputes may affect long-term development planning and land use stability.

He urged relevant authorities to investigate the allegations thoroughly and ensure that lawful landowners are protected from any irregular transactions going forward across the county system.

In response, political tension has continued to build in Kiambu County as leaders trade accusations over land ownership and allocation processes publicly and privately allegations.

Local leaders have called for calm while insisting that due process should be followed in resolving any disputed land matters within legal frameworks strictly enforced.

The controversy has drawn national attention, with citizens expressing mixed reactions regarding property rights and governance accountability in land administration discourse across platforms online media.

Observers say the dispute reflects long-standing challenges in land registration and enforcement mechanisms that require structural reforms to ensure transparency and fairness in Kenya system.

Analysts note that the matter may escalate further if investigations are not conducted transparently and all parties are given fair hearing at all levels nationally.

Stakeholders are now calling for restraint and dialogue to prevent the dispute from deepening political divisions within Kiambu County and restore public trust going forward.
