"This is Sad" Video Capturing The Moment A Woman & Man Fell into Water Sparks Reactions

A sad video showing a man and an elderly woman falling into raging flood waters has sparked mixed reactions online. The incident happened in Olulunga area, Narok South, after heavy rains caused rivers to overflow.

In the viral clip, the elderly woman and a middle-aged0pp man are seen trying to cross a makeshift bridge. The bridge appears to be made from two tree trunks placed across the flooded river. Below them, strong and fast-moving water can be seen rushing past.

Several residents had gathered nearby, watching the situation unfold. Some could be heard warning the two to be careful as they slowly tried to cross.

As the man assisted the woman, she suddenly lost her balance. In panic, she held onto the man, pulling him off the narrow bridge. Within seconds, both of them fell into the raging water and were swept away by the strong current.

Loud screams filled the air as residents rushed to try and save them. According to reports, the man was rescued by locals a short distance from where they fell. Sadly, the elderly woman drowned.

The incident has caused widespread reactions on social media, with many Kenyans expressing sorrow and anger. Some blamed the residents for standing by and recording instead of acting faster, while others pointed to poor infrastructure in the area.

Residents of Olulunga have now raised concerns over lack of development, especially the absence of proper bridges. They say they have been forced to use dangerous crossings like the makeshift log bridge for years.

As heavy rains continue in many parts of the country, Kenyans are being urged to avoid crossing flooded rivers and to take extra caution during this season.
