What Kisumu Businesswoman Did After Being Doused With Acid By Bodaboda Riders While Heading Home

Kisumu businesswoman is recovering in hospital after she was attacked with acid by suspected boda boda riders while on her way home in a shocking incident that has left residents worried about their safety.

The disturbing attack happened in Kisumu and has sparked anger among Kenyans who are now calling for quick investigations and justice for the victim.

According to a report by media, the woman suffered serious burns after the attackers allegedly followed her before carrying out the brutal act.

Speaking from her hospital bed, the victim narrated how the frightening incident unfolded. She explained that she was heading home after finishing her daily business when she noticed two boda boda riders trailing her.

At first, she did not suspect any danger, as boda bodas are common on the roads. However, the situation quickly turned dangerous when the riders approached her.

The woman said one of the suspects suddenly splashed liquid believed to be acid on her body.

She immediately felt intense pain and began screaming for help.

The attackers then fled the scene, leaving her in agony. Nearby residents who heard her cries rushed to help and took her to a nearby health facility.

Due to the seriousness of her injuries, she was later referred to a bigger hospital for specialized treatment.

Medical personnel confirmed that she sustained severe burns, especially on parts of her upper body. Doctors are currently monitoring her condition as she continues to receive treatment.

While speaking about the incident, the businesswoman claimed that she suspects the attack could be linked to a person she had disagreements with earlier.

However, she called on authorities to conduct thorough investigations and establish the truth.

“I am in a lot of pain and I don’t understand why someone would do this to me. I just want justice,” she said.
