Shock as Worker Killed, Rope Tied Around His Neck in Attack Inside Employer Compound

Detectives in Kitui County have launched investigations into the murder of a 70‑year‑old man whose body was discovered in Mulutu.

Luka Ilupe was found in a decomposed state within the compound where he worked.

His body lay on a path with a rope tied around his neck and visible stab wounds.

Police said the scene showed signs of foul play and a possible struggle before his death.

Authorities confirmed that Ilupe was employed at the compound by an academician who is currently out of the country.

The body was taken to the mortuary for preservation and further examination as detectives continue with inquiries.

The motive behind the killing remains unclear. Detectives are pursuing all possible leads to determine whether the murder was connected to personal disputes, robbery, or other issues.
