Britam described Muchiru as a visionary and steady who played a pivotal role in steering the organization during a period of transformation.
He joined the firm as a Non-Executive Director in August 2021 and was appointed Board Chairman in December the same year.
During his tenure, he was credited with strengthening corporate governance, restoring stakeholder confidence, and positioning the company for long-term growth across its markets in Africa.
