A tragic accident has left a man devastated after he lost his pregnant wife and their unborn twins while trying to rush her to the hospital.
The heartbreaking incident has drawn sympathy from many people online after the grieving husband shared the painful details of what happened that night.
Shuku Napinda explained that the tragedy occurred in the early hours of the morning after he and his wife, Aisha Osman Fujo, left an entertainment spot and began heading home.
According to him, it was around 3 a.m., and heavy rain was already falling. Despite the weather, the couple decided to leave, believing they would simply arrive home wet and change their clothes.
While traveling on a boda boda motorcycle, the situation quickly turned dangerous. The road had become flooded due to the heavy rainfall, and the strong current eventually swept them into a ditch filled with water.
Napinda recalled the terrifying moment when the motorcycle lost control and both of them were thrown into the floodwaters.
In the confusion, he first managed to pull himself out of the water. When he turned back to search for his wife, he found her unconscious.
Panic quickly set in as he realized she was not responding. With the help of others, he rushed her to Temeke Hospital, hoping doctors would be able to save her.
Unfortunately, the situation worsened on the way. Napinda said his wife died in his arms before they even reached the hospital. When they finally arrived, medical staff confirmed that she had already passed away.
The tragedy became even more painful when it was later revealed that Aisha had been pregnant with twins. The discovery left Napinda completely heartbroken, as he had lost not only his wife but also the two children they had been expecting.
He also shared the emotional memory of their final conversation. According to him, his wife had expressed her love for him shortly before the accident and even prayed for him. At the time, everything seemed normal, and they were simply talking about their lives together.
Since the story surfaced, many people on social media have sent messages of support and condolences to Napinda. Now left to care for his remaining children, he faces the difficult journey of coping with an unimaginable loss.
