Nairobi: A Married Man Forced To Live In A Car With His Family After His Landlord Chased Him Away

A young man from Kimbo estate in Nairobi has been forced to live inside his car with his family after reportedly being locked out of his house over rent arrears amounting to Ksh 60,000.

The man, who works as a photographer, is said to have fallen into financial difficulties after his camera was stolen, an incident that reportedly disrupted his source of income and changed his life completely.

According to people familiar with the situation, the photographer had depended on the camera for daily work and to support his family.

Following the theft, he struggled to recover financially and eventually failed to keep up with rent payments.

His landlord later locked him out of the house due to the accumulated arrears, leaving him with no option but to seek shelter inside his vehicle together with his family.

Residents in the area say the situation has drawn sympathy from many people, with some calling for support to help him get back on his feet.

Despite the hardships, the man is reportedly unwilling to sell his car, hoping instead to replace the stolen camera and rebuild his photography business.

Friends and neighbours believe that getting another camera could help him resume work and provide for his family again.

As the family continues spending nights inside the car, well-wishers are now being urged to step in and assist the struggling photographer in recovering from the crisis and securing stable housing once again.
