A family in Ruai, Nairobi, is appealing for help in locating their relative, Regina Wamuyu, who mysteriously disappeared from her home, leaving behind her young son and a puzzling handwritten note.
According to her family, Regina left her house on the day of her disappearance and did not return. The only clue she left behind was a short note that asked relatives not to search for her, offering no explanation for her sudden departure.
Concern has deepened after it was discovered that she also formatted her mobile phone, erasing all data and leaving no trace of her possible whereabouts.
Speaking to the media, her brother Samuel Githaiga said Regina had been living with her son and had been running small businesses after being out of formal employment for some time.
He noted that the family believes she may have been under significant stress, although they are unsure of the exact circumstances that led to her disappearance.
Githaiga added that the family has ruled out known disputes, stating that Regina had not recently conflicted with anyone.
Her son, who recently completed university, has since been left in the care of relatives as the search continues.
The family has reported the matter to police and has been tirelessly following any possible leads, but so far there has been no breakthrough. They have also reached out through their social networks and community contacts in hopes of finding her.
As days pass without answers, the family is urgently appealing to the public for any information that could help locate Regina Wamuyu, urging her to return home safely.
Authorities continue investigations as the search intensifies across Ruai and surrounding areas.
