According to a filed report at the Kilimani Police Station, before Dr Obwaka breathed last, he was with the Beatrice Wangare doing his errands in Kitengela, Nairobi county, before he suddenly became unconscious after which he was rushed to hospital by an ambulance .
According to other reports, Beatrice Wangare had been working closely with Dr. Obwaka as business partners, revealing that the two knew each other at personal levels.
Even though details of what Dr Obwaka did with Beatrice Wangare remain scanty, police are now apprehending her in custody, seeking to enquire what actually transpired before the veteran medic became unconscious despite having a history of a medical condition which he (Obwaka) had been battling for many years.
The untimely demise of Dr Obwaka attracted huge public attention, mainly because it came just a few weeks after he had been arrested together with other directors amid ongoing leadership row regarding the prestigious hospital, where he was accused of conflict of interest and failure to comply with financial filing requirements.
