Bomet County Governor Hillary Barchok has sent his condolences to the family of his driver, Mr. Samwel Kongo, who lost his mother.
On April 20, 2026, the renowned politician, who took to Facebook to confirm this news, said the deceased, identified as Mama Nyutany, passed away after a long illness.
"I have learnt with profound sadness of the passing on of Mama Pascalia Nyutany, who rested last night after a long illness bravely borne. Mama Pascalia was the wife to my personal driver, Samwel Kongo Nyutany.
On my own behalf, my family, and the staff of the County Government of Bomet, I pass our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Kongo and the entire Nyutany family," Governor Hillary said.
The Governor also revealed that the County Government of Bomet is going to stand with and support the grieving family during this difficult time.
He called on Kenyans to support the family by praying for them and also offering any kind of support.
