A governor from Kenya’s Rift Valley region has come under public scrutiny following claims regarding his spending habits and private lifestyle.
The allegations, raised by an outspoken Rift Valley senator, suggest that significant amounts of public funds may have been used on travel and entertainment across various towns, including Kisumu, Naivasha, and Eldoret.
According to the claims, millions of shillings were reportedly spent in the last financial year on hiring vehicles and facilitating frequent trips.
The senator further alleged that up to KSh 42 million may have been used to hire private vehicles for personal outings.
It is also claimed that the governor allegedly uses hired vehicles during these trips to avoid recognition.
However, his taste for ladies has caused a buzz, with reports emerging that he prefers “low quality” village ladies instead of slay queens.
The allegations have not been independently confirmed, and the governor has not publicly responded to the claims at the time of publication.
