Firestorm Message From Machakos Deputy Governor as He Urges Voters to Reject Corrupt Leaders

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has strongly condemned incidents of political violence and urged residents to reject leaders linked to corruption as the country moves closer to the next general election.

Speaking during a public engagement captured in a video by Erastus Mulwa, Mwangangi emphasized the need for peaceful political competition, warning that violence undermines democracy and threatens community stability.

He noted that elections should be guided by ideas, development records, and integrity rather than intimidation or disorder.

The Deputy Governor expressed concern over recurring cases of politically linked confrontations in different parts of the country, calling on leaders to exercise restraint and promote unity among supporters.

He stressed that no political ambition is worth the loss of peace or human dignity.

Mwangangi further urged voters to remain vigilant and make informed choices at the ballot, particularly by rejecting individuals with questionable integrity or those associated with corruption.

He stated that accountable leadership is essential for sustainable development at both county and national levels.

According to him, citizens play a critical role in shaping governance outcomes by electing leaders who demonstrate transparency, respect for the rule of law, and commitment to service delivery.

He encouraged residents to actively participate in civic processes while upholding peace throughout the election period.

The remarks come amid growing political activity across various regions, where leaders are increasingly engaging the public in early campaign-related messaging.

Security agencies have in recent months also warned against the rise of politically motivated clashes, urging calm and adherence to electoral guidelines.

Mwangangi’s message adds to a broader national conversation on the importance of peaceful elections, responsible leadership, and voter awareness.

As political temperatures gradually rise, leaders continue to call for unity and peaceful coexistence among communities.

The county leadership has reiterated its commitment to supporting peaceful democratic processes as the election period approaches.
