Wetangula, Shollei Pays Condolences Visit To Tiaty MP Kamket’s Family Over Son’s Passing

Speaker Moses Wetangula, on Friday evening joined the family of Tiaty MP William Kamket and Data Commissioner Immaculate Kassait in mourning the sudden passing of their son, Bill Ballot Kassait Jnr.

During his visit, Speaker Moses Wetangula expressed his condolences to the family, providing comfort and encouragement to help them navigate their tragic loss.

He encouraged them to find strength in their faith in the Lord during this challenging time.

Wetangula also appealed to his fellow Members of Parliament to show solidarity with the family at the funeral, which is set for Monday, March 23, 2026.

He highlighted the significance of support from both the community and parliament during such deeply sorrowful moments.

Wetangula remarked, “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him,” demonstrating respect for the family's faith and the seriousness of the situation.

His visit coincided with an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, and constituents who have expressed their sympathies to the grieving family.

Bill Ballot Kassait Jnr.’s death has sparked a wave of sorrow among leaders, many of whom have sent condolences to his family.

The 13-year-old, who succumbed to his condition at a Nairobi hospital on March 17, had been struggling with asthma, as reported by family members.

He became unwell over the weekend due to breathing issues and was receiving treatment, but unfortunately passed away around 8am.
