Tension as MP Ngeno's Top Critic Still Missing After Being Attacked During Ngeno's Burial Meeting

Residents of Ang’ata Barrikoi in Trans Mara, Narok County, have organized protests following the reported disappearance of activist Johana Langat Kamilan.

The disappearance occurred after a confrontation at a condolence gathering honoring the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno.

Kamilan was reportedly ejected from the event and assaulted after political tensions escalated at Ng’eno’s rural residence three days prior to the funeral.

On Thursday, the residents stormed the Ol Donyorok Police Post, demanding information and questioning whether the activist is being held in custody, while also speculating about his fate.

His disappearance has intensified tensions following Ng’eno’s burial, with residents urging government action to clarify his situation and ensure his safety.

The police IG have been given an ultimatum of 24 hours to reveal his whereabouts.

Kamilan has been known as a top critic to the late Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ngeno and his disappearance has raised tension in the area.
