A family in Nakuru is mourning the painful death of their relative, Jackline Awuor, whose body was discovered in a quarry with the head missing.

The family says they cannot bury her until the missing head is found.

Jackline, who worked as a security guard at the Geothermal Development Company, was reported missing after she failed to report to work on Sunday, March 29.

Her employer contacted the family after she did not arrive at work.

She had left home early that morning but never reached her workplace.

One of her sisters later went to her house in Maili Saba and found her child asleep alone in the house.

The discovery made the family worried. Later that day, they received shocking news that her body had been found in a quarry in Bahati Constituency.

According to her sister Anne Atieno, Jackline had been in a troubled relationship with the suspect and had planned to leave him and move to a different place.

The sister said the man had previously threatened her.
