"I Disciplined Him" Top Govt Official Reveals 'Bad Blood' Between Him And Kimani Ichungwah

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has revealed that he once disciplined Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah during their school days at Alliance High

Kingi spoke about the incident as he reflected on their early years in secondary school.

He said the matter happened when Ichung’wah joined Form One at the school. At the time, Kingi was among the senior students.

The Speaker explained that leadership in school required firmness. Senior students were expected to guide and correct new learners.

He noted that discipline was part of the school culture and helped shape students into responsible men.

According to Kingi, the experience created tension between the two. He said the incident has remained a talking point whenever they meet. Despite this, both leaders have gone on to build strong political careers.

Ichung’wah is now a key figure in the National Assembly and plays a central role in government business.

Kingi, on the other hand, serves as the head of the Senate and oversees proceedings in the Upper House.
