The police are conducting an investigation into the strange discovery of an amputated human leg belonging to a female.

According to the police reports, the body part was discovered in a carton left behind by a passenger in a tuk tuk in Kitale Town.

The left leg was abandoned in the tuk tuk after a passenger, who possessed it, alighted at the Waitaluk area along Kitale-Maili Saba.

Law enforcement officials who arrived at the scene reported that the leg appeared to have been amputated by a professional.

After further investigation, the police discovered that the leg was identified as belonging to Alice Wanyonyi.

The driver of the tuk tuk revealed that a middle-aged female passenger had boarded the Tuktuk at stage with the carton.

However, when she alighted, she left the box behind without the driver's knowledge raising suspicion on her intentions.

The leg has been transported to a local mortuary while further investigations are underway.
