Widow of Late MP Johanna Ng’eno Seeks to Replace Him in Emurua Dikirr

Naiyanoi Ng'eno, the widow of the late Johanna Ng'eno, is seeking to replace her husband as the next Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr

According to a report by Radio Maisha, the decision for her to contest the seat was reached after consultations with her family and members of the Kapkaon Clan, who reportedly agreed that she would be a suitable candidate to succeed her late husband.

The late Johanna Ng'eno, who served as the MP for Emurua Dikirr Constituency and husband to Naiyanoi Ng'eno, died on February 24 following a tragic helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County.

Following his death, a by-election is expected to be held to elect a new representative for the constituency.

Already, several aspirants have expressed interest in vying for the seat as political activity begins to gather momentum in the area.

Earlier, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) requested about KSh 59 million to facilitate the by-election in the constituency.

However, the official date for the mini-poll has not yet been announced by the electoral body.

As residents await the IEBC’s announcement, attention is now turning to the growing list of candidates seeking to become the next MP for Emurua Dikirr Constituency.
