Eldoret Woman Wins KSh 7 Billion Inheritance Battle After DNA Confirms She Is Mark Too’s Daughter

A woman from Eldoret has won a landmark inheritance case after a court confirmed through DNA testing that she is the biological daughter of the late businessman and former nominated MP Mark Too.

The ruling means she will now be recognised as one of the beneficiaries of his estate, which is estimated to be worth about KSh 7 billion.

The woman, identified as Chepkoech Too, had gone to court seeking recognition as the daughter of the late politician after she was excluded from the succession proceedings following his death in December 2016.

Speaking through tears, Evans said the hardest part of his struggle is seeing his child suffer through circumstances beyond her control.

“Hatuna chochote, nalala kwenye streets na mtoto,” he said painfully, explaining that they sometimes spend nights in open spaces, unsure of where they will sleep next.

Evans has been raising his daughter alone after separating from his wife years ago. Despite the hardships, he has tried to remain strong for the sake of his child. In a deeply emotional moment while sharing his story, the distressed father broke down.

His young daughter, noticing his tears, gently tried to wipe them away — a scene that moved many people who heard about their situation.

Evans says his biggest wish is not wealth but simply a chance to rebuild his life so he can provide a safe home and a better future for his daughter.

His story has since stirred sympathy among members of the public, with many hoping that well-wishers might step in to help the struggling father get back on his feet.
